George Chamlee Kreigsman, 89,
second son of Albert O. Kreigsman and Grace Chamlee Kreigsman, died Monday,
February 20, 2012. George was born at 312 S. Bay St. in Eustis on October 26,
1922. He was predeceased by his wife Martha and two brothers, Owen and Kenneth,
and two sisters, Joy and Kathy. George went through Eustis schools, graduating
in 1940. He served 3 years in the Air Force, 26 months in the CBI theater of
operations. George was active in the community, serving in the Eustis Chamber of
Commerce, the Eustis Optimist Club of which he was a charter member, Pine Meadows Golf Club, and was past
president of the State of Florida Car Parts Jobber Association. He loved to
hunt, fish, play golf and work in the yard. He worked at H & D Auto Parts
from 1946 to 1963 at which time he opened his own business, Car Parts Center. He
retired in 1982. He is survived by daughters, Rita McLaughlin and Grace Johnson,
and son, George R. Kreigsman, and adopted son, Breck Johnson, three
grandchildren, John (Marne), Mark (Stacy) and Karen, and five great
grandchildren. He also had two step children, Brenda Walls and Brad Tennant, and
five step grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren. He was a member of
the First Baptist Church. George left this message: “To my family, friends,
church members and business associates, I thank you for a very successful and
happy life on Earth. To each and every one “THANKS!” George is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis.
