Putnam County Cemeteries & Cemetery Inscriptions

A more recent reading of the Putnam County Cemeteries has been completed.
It was compiled by Mary Murphy-Hoffman
http://www.putnamcountycemeterires.org/Cemeteries/cemetery_gate2.htm
Be sure to check both readings.  Often stones become unreadable after years and the earlier readings may provide help on older stones.  I am happy to be able to offer both views thanks to Mrs. Murphy-Hoffman.

Below is an incomplete listing of cemeteries in Putnam County. I really need the help of all Putnam County researchers to complete the list, provide locating directions and tombstone data.

If you have tombstone inscriptions or photographs to contribute, please send them to me by email
and I will create a link from this list to a separate page of burials for that cemetery. Partial listings
are accepted! If you can provide any information at all, please email me.

If you would like to donate a transcription, but aren't sure how to get started, email me and I will be happy to show you how. You can send me just about any file type that exists, so use whatever
software you are comfortable with for transcribing the data.

The camera icon denotes cemetery transcriptions with photos included.

Note: The cemeteries transcribed by Carlis J. McLeod were taken offline. Fortunately, many of them were archived by The Way Back Marchine. I have included links to those cemeteries archived in The Way Back Machine for your convenience.

This list of cemeteries located in Putnam County, Florida has been compiled, in part, from the United States Geological Survey and the many small private cemeteries that have thus far been identified. There are probably dozens of others that exist in this area of Florida and I welcome your contributions to add to the list. Many family cemeteries have changed names as the property changed owners.

To see additional details about many of these cemeteries click here to go to the USGS web page for Putnam County cemeteries. Then look for the individual cemetery and click on the cemetery name for a map of the location.
