- I hope someone can help me locate information on the person we
believe to be my husband's grandfather. His name was George BROWNLEE
and according to social security records he was born on February 18,
1888, and died in February, 1979, in Crescent City, Florida. We are
novices at researching geneaology. If you have any information or
suggestions on how to proceed, please send an email. Thank you.

Estelle TILLIS. They were married some time in the early 50's, I
believe. They lived in Putnam Co. after they were married. I checked
with Putnam court house, they had no record. I was wondering if someone

- William Dunn MOSELEY was from Lenoir County, North Carolina.
There is a historical marker in the Institute area of Lenoir County
containing this information. When he came to Florida, he purchased many
acres of land in Leon and Jefferson Counties and a town once called
Magnolia with Florida's first Secretary Treasurer, Benjamin BYRD, also
from Lenoir County. A Henry BIRD/BYRD from Wakulla County went to
Putham County with William D. MOSELEY. If you have any information on
the MOSELEY and BIRD/BYRD families mentioned above, please contact me.
