William Ellis Simmons

William Ellis Simmons was born in Georgia on November 6, 1895. He was one of six children of Richard L and Lillian A Simmons both of South Carolina. His siblings were Jennie L., Colie W., Mary L., and E. Van Simmons. At least two of the family were married in Florida.

William married Jesse Williams who was born August 21, 1896 in South Carolina. Her parents were Richard Williams born in Dover, England and Mary Thames (Brunson?) of South Carolina. They had two other children Madgalin Campbell b. April 7, 1919 who died June 4, 1955 and Samuel Thomas Simmons b. Jun3 28, 1923 and died in 1997.

William and Jesse's daughter Winnelle Simmons was born March 30, 1921 and married James Edward Shelley born in Palatka on October 29, 1918. They were married in Palatka. James died January 29, 1997 in Jacksonville, Florida and Winelle died October 23, 1961 in Daytona, Florida.
