BARNES
I am trying to find info on my grandmother, Rena Gray Barnes. She died while giving birth to my father, Earl Barnes on August 22nd 1889, in Eustis Florida. Lake county says there is no birth or death certificate for either one, and I can't find her anywhere. My dad was put in an orphanage in Louisville Ky. It was the Orphanage of the Good Shepherd, but they don't give his parents names. It says they were both born in Kentucky, but it also says my dad was too, which is incorrect. His father's name may be Theodore or John, but I am not sure. In his obituary I told them to put Theodore, so that is how it is listed in some places, but it is information I gave them, and now I am not sure of it. Any help on this will be greatly appreciated. I have searched for years to find some trace of her. Thank You, Alta Godwin (jerrygohol@msn.com)

BLAKE
I am looking for information for Harriet B Blake, Born 1836 died about 1884. She was the wife of Thomas Henry Blake and he owned a lot of land close to the Umatilla Cemetery. They had 4 children and Thomas Henry Blake married another woman Betty John Hollingsworth on Jun 3 1886 Umatilla, Orange County, Florida, USA. I am assuming something happened to Harriet B just before the 1885 Florida Census. She is listed as the wife in the 1880 US census but she is missing in the 1885 Census and Thomas married again in 1886. Harriet B Blake, Born 1836. I have found no information on this woman, my ggGrand Mother, other than the 1880 US census.

HARRIS/WALKER
I am trying to research the HARRIS/WALKER family of Lake County, Florida.
Willie Mae HARRIS was born 17 November 1864 on the same day her father, Frank E. HARRIS, was wounded in the Battle of Atlanta. Family legend has it that Lake Harris in Lake County, Florida is named for her grandfather. She lived in Jacksonville, Florida during the "Great Fire" of 1901. She died on 22 Dec 1909 from burns suffered from a fireplace setting her nightgown on fire. She was married several times, James Albert WALKER, Samuel W. SEIGLER, ? HENDERSON, and AJ PHARES. She had two sisters, Grace and Fannie. Fannie ran the Hotel Adams in Jacksonville later in life.
Her son, Ernest WALKER is listed in Lake Co. 1900 Census as 13 years old living with stepfather Samuel W. SEIGLER. Dwelling number 164.  Samuel SEIGLER 73 years old born in Tennessee.  Ernest's father is listed as being born in Alabama.
