George and Betty Carpenter lived in Howey-in-the-Hills around 1920's. George worked on the sales staff for William J. Howey for the Howey Company. Any information on this couple would be greatly appreciated. I'm not actually researching them for genealogy reason, it's because I just found they were the original owners of our 1926 home in Howey, that we remodeled and am trying to develop some history on this home.

Am researching my Johnson Family who came from Live Oak Florida in the late 1920's or early 1930's. John Vasco Johnson, and wife Julia (Warren) Johnson, brought there children: Willie Milton, James Carvie, Seleaner Estelle, Homer, Audrey, Leroy, and Johnny Allen to live in the Minneola area of Lake County. Willie Milton married Nellie Freeman, James Carvie married Gracie Raley, Seleaner Estelle married R.C. ELKINS
I am looking for more information on the parents of my husband's grandmother. Her name was Flora Belle (Miller) Minnix Elkins. She was born 05/25/1882 in Wise County, VA and died 09/08/1971 in Wildwood, Sumter County, FL. She is buried at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Leesburg West, Lake County, FL. She was buried on 09/11/1971. She was married to Elias Elkins at the time of her death and I believe he may have died the same year, maybe even the same day, I'm not sure. I can't seem to find her on the SSDI under any of her names. She is listed with her previous husband James Monroe Minnix on a Family Group Record on the LDS Family Search site. It lists her mother as Katherine Wells and her father as Aaron Miller. That is the only record I have been able to find on her. I was hoping to find out how to get a copy of her death certificate. I thought you might be able to help there since she is buried in Lake County, FL. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can give me. Lori Craiger uni62corn@hotmail.com
